Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive

Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive
Stamp Out Hunger Food DriveOne in eight Americans face hunger every day and we want to remind everyone that they can help Stamp Out Hunger. Stamp Out Hunger is a nationwide effort and all foods donated stay local. In 1991, a trial program was launched in ten cities across the United States. The initiative was formed by a union wanting to give back to those in need, whether it be by donating funds to a charity, collaborating during times of disaster, or protecting victims of calamities and crime. It was highly successful and became known as Stamp Out Hunger or the Letter Carrier Food Drive. It was the postmen who mostly saw the obstacles that communities faced. Thus, on the second Saturday in May, the postal carriers both deliver mail and collect food donations.
