12:00pm-1:00pm in the Woodrow Wilson Intermediate School Parking Lot.

During the summer of 2018, 32,028 meals were served (9,088 breakfasts, 17,727 lunches and dinners, and 5,213 snacks) between the 3 open sites at the schools and 40
additional site partners that include the Boys and Girls Club, Coates Recreational Center, Stonewall Recreational Center, Harvest Corner Daycare, and numerous Bible schools.

"We endeavor to supply our students with healthy and nutritious meals throughout the school year and in the summer. Knowing that you have fed a hungry child who relied on the schools for a meal is very rewarding," stated Phillip Gardner, Director of Child Nutrition.

The Danville Public Schools Child Nutrition Department participates in the National School Lunch, Breakfast, and After School Snack and Meal programs administered by the
VA Department of Education (VDOE). Meals, food and beverages served at schools meet state and federal requirements based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. The School Division is reimbursed annually from VDOE based on the number of meals served.

The Summer Feeding Program helps keep numerous DPS staff members employed throughout the months of June and July. The staff members are responsible for food
prep, delivery and pick up.
