Hello, welcome to my page! My name is Chancen Woodruff and I will be your history teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. I graduated from Bridgewater College with a bachelors degree in History and Political Science.Two mottos that summarize my teaching philosophy are "Grace before Grades" and a quote from one of America's founding fathers,Ben Franklin. "Tell me and I forget, teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn."

I am thrilled to have you as part of this exciting learning journey in World History 1 and U.S. History. This online platform, Blackboard, will serve as our virtual classroom, fostering a dynamic and engaging environment for your education. Throughout this course, we will explore history to 1500 and Early American history to the present day. 

When I am not teaching, I like to read and watch documentaries on various historical subjects and events. I also enjoy watching anime and the walking dead and the NBA. I also like to spend time exploring and engaging in new cultures and areas, as I am new to Danville Virginia.
