My name is LaTasha Jones. I was born in Sacramento, California, but raised in Wilmington, North Carolina. I graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) in 2004 with B.A. in History and a Minor in Middle Eastern Studies. I also graduated from UNCW in 2016 with an M.A. in Graduate Liberal Studies with a concentration in History. 

This is my first year teaching K-12, and I am excited to get to know you. I am a woman of faith, a devoted daughter, a family member, and a friend. I take great pride in operating at one hundred percent in everything I do. I am a natural leader, but I appreciate and value working in a team environment. I am result-oriented, and I place a high premium on higher education and diversity in all aspects of life.

I love Harry Potter, and I love to fly. I have flown a single plane engine and a helicopter. I am an excellent cook and love going on nature walks with my pitbull Kosha.
