• Welcome to Ms. Galloway's page. I am excited about teaching students mathematics and I look forward to the challenge of helping students succeed in a subject that they may not always like. Below you will find some introductory information about me. Please feel free to reach out to me throughout the school year as we work together to help our students succeed.

Education: Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from Averett College (2000), Master of Education in Mathematics Education from Averett University (2003)

Teaching Experience: The 2024-25 school year will be my 24th year as a mathematics teacher. Most of that time has been spent teaching high school level courses from Algebra 1 to Advanced Placement Calculus. I have always believed that success in high school math courses begins in middle school (if not earlier), so I've followed my belief by becoming an eighth grade math teacher. I believe that all students can learn and have the right to receive the daily opportunities to learn and grow. Together we (students, parents, and school staff) can accomplish much to support our students' growth.

Hobbies: I enjoy arts and crafts; that includes sewing, quilting, crocheting, and painting. I also enjoy traveling and enjoying foods from all cultures.
