Hello! My name is Sydney Hughes and I am the fifth-grade English Language Arts teacher at G.L.H. Johnson Elementary. This is my second year as a teacher, and I am very excited to work with parents and students this upcoming school year! 

I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in History with a concentration in Pre-Law and a minor in Political Science from Longwood University in May 2019. I later received my Paralegal certification from George Mason University in August 2021. My goal as an educator is to receive my Master's degree in Education or History.
