Mr. Michael Moss
Welcome to Astronomy and Earth Science. I am very pleased to be teaching these two subjects this year. As we move forward, please know I am here to assist both students and parents. Feel free to ask for help. The best way to get my attention is by sedning me an email.
This is my 35th year of teaching. When I began teaching, I taught 2nd grade. I was always one that volunteered to change grade levels as needed. I have taught grades 2 through 8. My career began in Danville Public Schools. I've also taught in Amherst County Public Schools, Fairfax County Schools, Alexanderia City Public Schools and back to Danville Public Schools. In Danville, I have taught grades 4 to 8, and now high school at George Washington. I taught in the Gifted and Talented program in Fairfax County, and I was a Science consultant for grade 6. When I taught in Alexandria City, I taught grade 6 Science, and I was a Science consultant for grades 6 to 8.
I have a degree in Elementary Education, Grades 4 to 8 and an endorcement in Middle School Education and in Science. I have a Masters Degree from George Mason University in Middle School Education.
I enjoy traveling, especially to England, Ireland and France. I was in London for the millennium. I love working in my yard and spending time with my dog, Yoda. He's my baby.
I look forward to working with my Astronomy and Earth Science students this school year. Parents, feel free to email mail me with questions ansd concerns.
