Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Phillip Stamps
I was born and raised in Danville. I'm a product of Danville Public Schools and some great teachers. Our community and school mean a lot to me. I graduated from George Washington High School and furthered my education at Virginia State University. Upon graduating from Virginia State University, I resided in Virginia Beach, VA for 16 years, working in the field of medical and health insurance and providing services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I yearned for a change and went to Old Dominion University's Career Switcher Program to become licensed to teach. I moved back to Danville to assist my parents and started teaching in Pittsylvania County. I obtained Master's Degrees from Averett University and started teaching in Danville Public Schools. I'm committed to Danville and I see the possibilities and greatness in our students. I'm a hard teacher , but fair. I want our students to take ownership of their learning and become lifetime learners.
