  •                                                                            WELCOME TO GWHS AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY

     

    Course overview:

    GWHS students in the Automotive Technology I & II Program learn the skills needed for an entry-level position as an Automotive Technician. If you have a passion for cars and love fixing things, then this is the program for you! Our program is designed to give you a working knowledge of the technology used in today’s cars, as well as the tools used to diagnose them. Some of the program’s highlights include: automotive engines, automotive technology and diagnostics, alternative fuel vehicles, engine performance and diagnostics, and much more!

    Course Materials:

    Students will need a three ring binder to keep handouts and assignments. This binder will also be used to keep a work journal and daily writing log. Students will also need paper to record daily writing assignments. This journal will be graded throughout the year. This is a MUST HAVE!

    Students must have proper PPE, safety glasses, and closed toed shoes to work in the shop. Students will be supplied a work shirt and safety glasses.
