Miss Frances A. Viden

Hello! My name is Frances Viden and I am the Lead Art Teacher for Danville Public Schools. This is my twenty-first year at George Washington High School. I teach all Ceramics classes, as well as a Visual Arts II class.

I grew up in NewJersey, about ten minutes away from Philadelphia. I graduated from Woodbury High School in 1996, and went to Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ for two years. In my third year, I transferred to West Virginia University, where I graduated from in 2002 with my BFA with Certification.

After graduation, I moved to Danville, where I began my teaching career. I also worked at Office Max in the printing department from 2004- 2018.

I have two sons, Alex and Max, who attend school in the city as well.

I currently work part-time at The Pittsylvania Pet Center, where I get to play with animals, and assist them in finding their forever homes.

If you can't find me, look where there are roller coasters and coffee - I should be close by!
