Ms. Nicole Sutherland
Education: I graduated from James Madison University in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in mathematics and a minor in sociology. My favorite math courses were abstract algebra, cryptography, and game theory.
Teaching: I taught four semesters of an introductory topics course at JMU during my junior and senior years of college. This is my third year teaching for DPS. I originally taught for one year at George Washington High School, and last year I taught at I.W. Taylor Virtual Academy. I also taught Mathematical Analysis and Pre-Calculus for Virtual Virginia this summer. I am currently teaching Algebra 2.
Background: I grew up in Danville and worked as a librarian before becoming a teacher.
Hobbies: Science Fiction, Table Tennis, Reading
