I am Mrs. Holmes; a proud graduate of North Carolina A&T State University, University of North Carolina at Greensboro and East Carolina University.  I received my BS degree in business education from NC A&T State University, MS in business education from UNC Greensboro and  my MS in library science from East Carolina University.  I have 46 years of educational experience, with 25 years in the classroom, 14 years as an educator on loan and 7 years as a media specialist. 

In 2016, I was hired by Danville Public schools as a media specialist, working at OT Bonner Middle School.  As I continue to expand my network, I hope that I might be able to share resources, plan, and collaborate with teachers to help build a strong and supportive learning environment to engage and motivate learners to build a deep love for learning.  So join me and explore ways to enhance the learning environment, create a community of higher order thinkers, and learn what a difference teamwork can make in educating young learners to compete in a global society.
