Miss Courtney Mendenhall

Hello everyone! Courtney is in her first year as an English teacher at GW and she is so excited to be a part of the team!

Courtney was born and raised in Danville, VA and graduated from GW in 2013. While in high school, she played softball, volleyball and was a member of the orchestra. Courtney spent time being a part of the Spanish and Civics club as well.

She graduated from Radford University in 2017 with a Bachelor's degree in Media Studies-Journalism and Minor in Spanish. At Radford, Courtney was involved with student media as the general manager of Radio Free Radford (internet radio). After graduating from college, she began coaching softball. Her first year was at GW (2017-18), and then she continued coaching for the next few years at Heritage HS (Lynchburg, VA) and Livingstone College.

Courtney holds a Master's of Education degree in Coaching and Sports Administration from Concordia University Texas. She wants to continue building her experiences in education and sports administration. She has extensive experience in writing and has served as a writer for several online news/sports websites and newspapers.

Currently, she is pursuing a Doctorate of Business Adminstration-Sports Administration degree with St. Thomas University (Miami Gardens, FL).

In her free time, she loves listening to music, watching and playing sports, writing, and taking road trips.
