English Language Learners and World Languages

The Language Instruction Education Programs (LIEP) Department for Danville Public Schools holds true to the mission to inspire, educate, and develop English Learner (EL) students, in collaboration with their families and communities, to ensure all EL students graduate college and/or career ready. We strive to educate all EL students by teaching with rigor and high-expectations, inspiring them to learn the language of English as quickly as possible through meaningful content and English language development instruction; succeed academically and socially in all educational settings and adjust to the language and culture of the United States and our local community.
