Teacher Philosophy:  I believe that all students are musical by nature, and have tremendous potential to learn and enjoy music.

Course Description:  In the Music class, we will be singing, dancing, composing, improvising, and learning about music history and theory. Students will explore the basics of music through theory, singing, performing on classroom instruments, listening to various examples of styles of music from around the world, including music theatre. Through the various examples and explorations, students will be encouraged to gain an appreciation of all forms and genres of music.

Goals:  Develop understanding of music though musical experiences through singing, playing instruments, composing, listening, dancing, an responding to music with movement.
