Course Description: Special education Inclusion Grade 6 is an exciting year as students should expect to increase their prior knowledge in core subjects including: English Language Arts (includes Reading and Writing) and Math. Students will participate in all areas of the curriculum, extra curricular, homeroom, field trips, and lunch with peers of the same grade level.
Course Competencies/Learning Objectives: Grade 6 General Education Curriculum in English Language Arts and Mathematics with accommodations and modifications as per each student’s Individualized Education Plan.

Attendance Policy:
Regular and prompt class attendance is an essential part of the educational experience. Westwood Middle School expects students and guardians to exercise good judgment regarding attendance and absences. Students will accept full responsibility for ensuring their work does not suffer because of absences. All students are expected to attend every scheduled class on time. Exceptions may be made for illness and valid emergencies.
