Hi Everyone! My name is Ms. Bergeron and I am the high school Visual Arts teacher at IW Taylor. I know that there are many barriers to learning visual arts while being a virtual learner, but it is my goal to make sure students are able to have an enriching and well-rounded art experience. Whether a student has been creating art all of your life, or this is their first time taking an art course, I hope to give an enjoyable, relaxing, creative, informative, and fun experience. I attended the University of Louisiana and have a B.A. in Art Education, and I am finishing my Master’s degree in Counseling and Art Therapy through Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. I have been a classroom teacher for 5 years and have taught art to all grades, prek3- 12th grade. Other than teaching at IW Taylor, I am an art therapy intern with non profit organizations in the Austin area. I have also done freelance art, art lessons, and live event painting for the last 8+ years. I am currently located in Austin, Texas and enjoy all things outdoors with my dog, Roux!
