We are already preparing for the new school year for our youngest learners, and we need your help! If you have a child that meets the age requirements, we want to get him/her registered for kindergarten in March and April. This allows us to plan for the best year possible for your child by ensuring we have all of our staff and resources in place.
The Danville Public School System will open its online registration process for kindergarten classes for the 2023-2024 school year on March 20. Families are able to complete the process online but can also attend in-person help sessions if needed on April 23-28 from 9 am-2 pm. The online system will be open from March 20-April 28.
Families can upload documentation online. Documents can be digitally scanned or photographed. Each document will need to be uploaded individually.
** Students entering kindergarten are required to have a physical prior to the first day of class.

Summer School Kindergarten Jumpstart
Please register your first-time Kindergarten student (without preschool experience) for Danville's Kindergarten JumpStart program. The mission is to ensure children who enter kindergarten are prepared to succeed. Jumpstart’s curriculum provides a deep focus on key areas of literacy, specifically oral language development, including specific attention to social-emotional language skills. Together, these key oral language skills are predictors and leading indicators of later school success, and are able to be implemented well within the Jumpstart program, given our low adult-to-child ratios and individualized interactions.
