Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Leibowitz

I was born on an American military base in Moron, Seville in Andalusia Spain but attended school in Spain proper. I started as a, reporter for The New York Times in 1984 (See NY "Jeff Leibowitz") and have written more than 3,000 since then. I sought at that time to cover Middle Eastern affairs, and thus studied and obtained advanced degrees in Middle Eastern Languages from Harvard University and then Princeton. I also studied at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel, the American University of Cairo, the State University of Tajikistan and the University of Seville, Spain. I later worked with the United Nations and the US Government. I continue to work for the Times on a part time basis to allow me to indulge my true passion--inspiring and educating young people. I seek to incorporate my personal experiences into my teaching so students will learn of the necessity--and yet the complexity--of blending theory with practical application. My classroom is one where EVERY STUDENT can be successful, and I am honored to serve them--and their families--in any way I can.

(Personally, I ADORE ANIMALS, have a Serval Cat named Swaggers, and I train daily in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and compete regularly.

Please do not hesitate to call upon me if I can be of any assistance whatsoever!
