Mr. Corey Williams

Corey Williams is an English teacher & AVID instructor at George Washington High School. He has been teaching in the Danville Public School system since 2019, with a majority of his time spent at George Washington High School. Corey received his Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Averett University; he then went on to receive his Masters of Arts in English and Communication from Liberty University as well as his Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. Corey is currently an Ed.D. candidate at Liberty University with a cognate in curriculum and instruction. In his time at George Washington High School, Corey has served as the department chair for the English department, served on the school’s leadership team, piloted the school’s new and improved AVID program, served as the lead adviser for SCA & the school’s yearbook. When he's not writing his dissertation or grading papers, Mr. Williams enjoys writing, reading, traveling, running and photography.
