Welcome to English 9 and Publications! My name is Bria McMillian. I have been teaching for 7 years, and this school year is my 4th year at the great George Washington High School! I am from Greensboro, North Carolina and that is where I currently reside (yes, I have a long commute!)

I am an honored graduate of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, where I received a Bachelor of Arts in English in 2016. In addition to teaching freshmen, I am the Yearbook and Newspaper advisor, ACE Team English coach, and Work Keys tutor. I am the proud "dog mama" to an 8 year old shihtzu mix named Snoopy. I enjoy traveling, and my favorite place to be is at the beach. 

During this school year, it is my goal to develop students into critical thinkers, enthusiastic learners, helpful classmates, and scholars who are accountable and devoted to their own learning. I look forward to working with you all!
