Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Kameron Walker

I am Kameron Walker, the Director of Bands at O.T. Bonner Middle School in Danville, Virginia. I am very excited about starting a new school year. This year will be full of excitement and fun as we learn about all things music!

You may be wondering, "well it's nice to meet you Mr. Walker, but what makes you qualified for this job?" Well, I am glad you asked. Allow me to tell you a little bit about me.

I am a native of Danville, Virginia. I was educated in the Danville Public School system, where I attended George Washington High School. While attending George Washington High School, I was very active in the band. I was a member of the Wind Ensemble, the Jazz Band and the Award-Winning Marching Eagles all under the direction of Mr. Reginald Purvis. I was also a member of GW’s Gentlemen’s Club, known as the Gentlemen by Choice.

I graduated from George Washington High School and went on to further my education at Radford University where I completed my Bachelors Degree in Music Education and graduated in the Spring of 2021. I have traveled nationally and internationally to perform and I was recognized by the College of Visual and Performing Arts at Radford University as the Outstanding Graduating Senior from the Department of Music and as the Outstanding Music Education Graduate in my graduating class.

Upon graduating from Radford University, I returned home to Danville, Virginia, and I am now employed by the Danville Public School System as the current Director of Bands at O.T. Bonner Middle School.

I look forward to meeting each of you and educating your children!
